Overview
Modern salons and wellness spas lose thousands of dollars each month to missed appointments, disjointed credit card terminals, and stockouts on high-margin retail products. Omni-Connects was engineered as a comprehensive multi-tenant operating system that combines client online bookings, in-person Stripe terminal checkout, stylist commission tracking, and barcode inventory sync in one unified cloud dashboard.
Our key engineering goals were to:
- Build a resilient production architecture ensuring zero-downtime reliability.
- Enable real-time transaction synchronization with sub-second latency.
- Design intuitive role-based dashboards empowering users with self-service tools.
- Guarantee strict transactional consistency across all external payment gateways.
Pain Points
Salons struggled with three separate disconnected vendors: one for calendar scheduling, another for credit card processing, and an Excel sheet for haircare product inventory.
- Stylists frequently suffered from double-booked salon chairs during weekend peaks.
- Card payment hardware was not integrated with service tickets, causing accounting mismatches.
- Inventory depletion on popular products was not noticed until shelves were empty.
Research
We built a high-speed Next.js application backed by Stripe Billing, PostgreSQL, and WebSockets that updates chair availability, inventory counts, and sales ledgers in real time.

- Integrated Stripe Terminal and card-on-file deposits to guarantee stylist revenue.
